Sagseason2020

Sagittarius Season comes November 22nd , lasting until December 21st. This mutable fire sign who craves adventure has certainly been feeling boxed in by the confines brought on by this year’s pandemic. If your Scorpio Season was dramatic and unpredictable, you can rest easy that this season is low on drama and big on abundance. Even though days are getting darker and nights growing longer, the fiery energy of Sagittarius bestows optimism in good measure.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, planet of bounty, good luck, idealism and evolution. This Sagittarian energy calls us to seek out meaning, and to let go. Represented by the symbol of the archer, Sagittarius emboldens us to aim high and shoot towards our dreams. No matter our sign, we are being encouraged to say ‘yes’ and think bold and big. Sag is known as the world traveler of the zodiac, characterized by insatiable inquisitiveness, and a warm (yet at times a bit extra in the dramatic department) disposition.

On November 30th we encounter the third and final lunar eclipse of the 2020 eclipse cycle. This eclipse in Gemini requires a discerning approach. Information overload lead to confusion, and that confusion can lead to magnifying what we put out there. Energy during this time is best used on tending to personal projects and avoiding gossip that could come back to kick you in the ass. Eclipses warns of change in both our lives and the world at large. With eclipses we find new beginnings and significant endings. They’re not easy to deal with, and usually emotions get all stirred up as these lunations are signifiers of change, and change ain’t easy. Don’t let all the chaos sway you though, important things are getting brought up that could use a fresh perspective.

The good thing though is that now is a great time for sorting out personal issues and big projects. On December 1st, Mercury (planet of memory, intelligence, transportation and communication) arrives in Sagittarius. These attributes combined with fiery Sag ushers in an explosion of energy, inspiration, and ideas. Tackling projects of any nature with a bit more optimism will prove beneficial, but don’t get carried away with editorializing. Just say your truth.

Cabin fever is striking hard, we’ve had a long year and are in for a long, dark winter. To combat the stir-crazy, long walks, diving into books, podcasts and seeking out the simple escapes will help enormously. The Sagittarius sign is linked to world travel and higher learning. This inquisitive energy stirs us to learning more about a subject that has always interested us, and going on a deep dive into what fascinates broadens our horizons.

Venus will be in Scorpio for the lion’s share of Sagittarius Season, bringing out our desire for connection. This sure stings this particular year, as many of us will be spending this traditionally convivial time of year social distancing. During times like these, it helps to look back on how our ancestors handled times of massive upheaval. The ancestors are close this time of year, and reaching out to them for guidance in whichever form you choose can serve as a strengthening balm to all this gloom.

As long as you have access to a halfway decent Internet connection, embracing technology has never served to be more beneficial. Have fun and organize getting crunked with your friends via video chat. Get with your pod (because, again, we all live in Sense 8 now) and hunker down, if that’s an option. Again, safety, etc. Look at a video chat party as going to a physical party without having to deal with getting a sober driver or the perils of public transit. Plus, you can talk to friends far away.

Make it a goal to wrap up loose ends on both the personal as well as projects by November 30th. Doing so will come with the solar eclipse (visible in southwest Africa, southern South America, and Antarctica) on December 14th. This is a prosperous, potent day full of big events taking place. As eclipses are wont to stir shit up, performing some cleaning rituals between the 29th and December 15th is essential. During this period, self-care becomes an utter requirement.

Say ‘Yes’ to spontaneous get togethers with your pod or over whatever video chat platform you have. Just doing one dumb thing out of the day-to-day rut proves to be refreshing and necessary. Whatever sign you are, this Sagittarius Season brings a sense of hope and optimism. Water and Earth signs will glean inspiration by immersing themselves in work and family issues with much needed honesty. Get ready for new beginnings, change is on the horizon coming up in Capricorn Season. Air and Fire signs will see this Sag Season valuable for both relationships and creative endeavors. 2020 has been dark AF, and the free-spirited Sagittarian energy is here to lift us up.
